Many peoples will come and say, The Hagerman Family

"Come, let us go up to the Carapeguá, Paraguay
mountain of the LORD... He will
teach us his ways, so that we may
walk in his paths." Isaiah 2:3

September, 2010
Well, the time has come. We’ve almost got all our ducks in a row, and in a few short days, we’ll be boarding a plane for our first
home visit. It’s been almost two years here without a trip to the U.S., so we’re READY! To say that we are excited would be an
understatement. So your next newsletter will arrive from NORTH America, as we spend the next two months traveling around South
Carolina to speak about the work taking place in Paraguay. Check the calendar below to see when we’ll be near you, and swing on by.
Not all is written in stone, but this is a general idea of churches we’ll visit, and where we’ll sleep in between. (Upstate means we’ll be
with Ken’s family near Greenville, lowstate is Christie’s family near Moncks Corner.) We’d sure love to see you!!

notice a small white goalpost. Ken made two of these from PVC pipes,
for the students of Loma Clavel. We had taken them a ball, but they
were cramming sticks in the dirt for goalposts. We had some pipe lying
around the house that did the trick. Now when their recess time has
ended, they can easily pick up the goals and take them in the classroom,
so that they don’t “disappear” overnight. We also did a school picture
project with them this month, taking a close-up shot of each child—just
like the ones you got in elementary school, but with the name of their
little school and the year at the bottom. School years here run February
to December, so it felt a little weird to write “Year 2010” instead of “Year 2010-11.” We are printing a copy to give to each
family as a reminder of their child’s school year, an accomplishment to be celebrated in a community where most have never
attended school. We also showed a short Christian cartoon, which had them glued to their chairs. The profesora told us that
most of them had not seen a tv, so projecting a show on the wall was quite exciting for them.
