Overview
To be successful, operators must respond Today, the Alcatel 1000 MM E10
to market pressures and keep ahead of Next Generation Switch comes complete
the competition. This is possible by offering with an extensive range of services covering
new services, protecting the current profitable a wide array of operator’s and end user’s
revenue streams, avoiding subscriber churn needs. In particular recent enhancements
with user-friendly services, and reducing to the software releases allow the creation
operational costs. Experience also shows of compelling service packages that will
that service offerings are more quickly bring more benefits to the end user and
adopted when they are promoted within sustained revenues for operators.

Release R25.1 Key Features
Available now, this release provides huge CAPEX and OPEX savings. By directly integrating SDH STM-1 interfaces,
the Alcatel 1000 MM E10 takes up less space while connecting directly to an SDH network. As a result the same
traffic levels can be handled on a platform with a smaller footprint. For example, when a single SDH board terminates
one STM-1 link (the equivalent of 63 E1 links), one SDH-STM-1 high-density unit replaces eight E1 boards.

B-channels are opened, but it remains active
for signaling. When the additional bandwidth
is no longer required, or if a call is coming
in, one or both B-channels are dropped,
leaving the D-channel connection in place.
