Solder together the switch, resistor, and the led.
Duct tape the two wires that remain to the battery.
Hot glue the assembly to the inside of the cube with the button in the hole.

While that method is indeed easier, it will severely hurt the battery life, first because it prevents the LED from
ever turning off, and second because a high current is going to be flowing through the LED for its entire
3 lifespan, draining the battery (which cannot be changed) very rapidly.
