• Communication is a process whereby


information is enclosed in a package and is
channeled and imparted by a sender to a
receiver via some medium.
Television
• Television is a widely used telecommunication medium
for transmitting and receiving moving images that are
either black and white or color, usually accompanied by
sound.
• The word is derived from mixed Latin and Greek roots,
meaning “far sight”.
• Greek ‘tele’ (far) and Latin ‘visio’ (sight).
How was it invented??

In 1925, Scottish inventor John Logie Baird gave the first


public demonstration of televised silhouette images in
motion.
