EXHIBITION CHECKLIST- TRIMESTER #3 2010-2011- WAGNER

What you must bring:


o All interest project work
o Agendas (enough copies for each student, slides of your agenda in your Power Point between each subject, or a giant-sized
agenda)
o All visual aids for all subjects and interest project

NOTE: IF A STUDENT DOES NOT HAVE A VISUAL AID FOR ANY SUBJECT OF THE EXHIBITION, S/HE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO
PRESENT THAT SUBJECT AND A REDO EXHIBITION WILL BE REQUIRED.

What you must do for your exhibition:


INTRODUCTION
o Introduce yourself
o Welcome audience
o Pass out and review your agenda

PROJECT WORK: (25%)


o Interest Project
o What was your driving question? (This should be prominent on your visual aid.)
o Why did you choose it?
What did you learn about it?
Visual aids should be focused on this part of the project.

NOTE: ALL OF THESE ITEMS MUST HAVE A SEPARATE VISUAL AID. Be creative!

Math (15%):
o Use the recipe given to you by your teacher to create two new versions of the recipe.

1. Double the ingredients in the recipe (multiply).


2. Then cut the recipe in half (divide).
o Use a visual aid (like a large chart, a slide in your Power Point, or Glogster) that shows the new versions of the recipe.
o Be able to explain how you got the new measurements of the ingredients.

Writing (15%):
o Write a compare/contrast essay comparing and contrasting the Negro Baseball Leagues and the White Major Leagues.
o You must have 4 paragraphs
o Interesting lead, thesis statement
o Paragraph 1 – topic one
o Paragraph 2 – topic two
o Conclusion – summarizing the essay and bringing back the thesis statement
o Include pictures of your baseball player, or manager, team he/she played on or managed, or any other picture you feel is
important/interesting
o Use Glogster for your visual aid (pictures, teams, etc.)

Reading (15%):
o Present your big picture book of your independent or guided reading book. See attached for instructions.

Social Studies (10%):


o Teacher’s choice

Science (15%):
o See attached sheet

Visual Aids that will be checked for Milestone #4:


1. Math: Chart, Glogster, or Power Point

2. Writing: Symbol/object that represents your wax museum biography person

3. Reading: Big picture book with clear illustrations and text

4. Social Studies:

5. Science: Tri-fold board, Power Point, or Glogster of the scientific method steps, pictures
of their experiment if not doing the experiment at exhibition.

5. Agendas: in your Power Point between each subject, copies for the class or a big copy
