Reason for manufacturing in other countries: Acer chooses this country for their manufacturing place because they get some benefit for establishing their factory in that place. The benefits area) Low labor cost: If a company produces its products in its home country then it will create higher production cost. We put an example here. In Germany labor cost is very high at hourly basis. As a result the total manufacturing cost will be very high (as labor cost is variable cost). So the cost will be higher with increasing with the production. So many companies establish their manufacturing plants in many host countries where labor is available at lower cost. Because the companys main objective is cost minimization. b) Raw material availability: Another reason there, a country is not fulfill in all sector. An example Saudi Arabia has available oil reserve. But they dont have sufficient machineries. Another example: Brazil has sufficient coffee been. As for Nestl go there and put their manufacturing plant there. So they can take the chance of approximate to raw materials and minimized their service and transportation cost. c) Save transportation cost: If a MNC put a manufacturing plant in a place that is approximate to customer, then they can save time and transportation cost. So this is very effective to make company cost effective decision. d) Company can avoid tariff barriers: When a company exports its products other country then it is facing some problem like it should give huge amount of tariff to that particular government. But if company built production plant in that country, then company can save huge amount of money by avoiding tariff. So company can compete with rivals because of lower cost and can take a greater advantage.

e) Access to key technology: Another advantage is that, when a company goes another company to produce .It has an opportunity to use that country latest technology and expertise. An example here, If any Bangladeshi investor invest Japan then it has an opportunity to use that countries latest technology. f) Marketing advantage: As if Nokia put a production plant in Bangladesh, then it can easily access customers and its factory may enhance the visibility of a foreign product in the host market. Ex: Through ads in such magazines as time and sports illustrated, Toyota has publicized the beneficial impact of its U.S factories and input purchases on the U.S economy.
