Micronutrient Initiative (MI) Indonesia proposes to demonstrate pilots in selected districts for IFAsupplementation for pregnant mothers in West Java and Banten provinces and ORS and zincsupplementation in the treatment of diarrhea among young children in West Nusa Tengara province.The program strategy will be on a) strengthening the supply chain for supplements b) capacitybuilding of the health staff and frontline workers c) behaviour change communication interventionsfor increasing utilization d) modifying the monitoring system to monitor and track interventiondelivery and supportive supervision e) building government commitment and sustainability throughensuring adequacy of budgets at the local level and directives to service providers to providesupplements in the recommended quantities and follow-up and f) program evaluation. Thesemodels will serve as a basis of replication and scale-up.In order to guide, supervise and coordinate these pilots with the Government and otherstakeholders MI requires a following position:
Health Systems Coordinator
The main responsibility of the coordinator will be to facilitate and monitor the implementation of theIFAsupplementationfor pregnant women and ORS and zinc supplementation in childhooddiarrhoea pilot projectson behalf of MI. The specific responsibilities include:
1. Capacity building 
Assist and support to build capacity of health system functionaries at central, provincialand district levels.
Participate in district level reviews for facilitate problem solving and problem seeking.
2. Liaoning and Advocacy 
Work closely with the government and key stakeholders to get their attention on IFAsupplementationprogram for pregnant women and ORS and zinc supplementation inchildhood diarrhoea program, and be responsible for coordination and liaison with keyplayers at national and regional levels (Governments, UNICEF, UN/NGOS, Universities andrelevant tasks forces or committees, etc).
Support the Government program through initiatives that may include, formation of a taskforce, policy formulation including development of specific guidelines, act as a resourceperson etc. for the IFA supplementation andORS and zinc supplementation inchildhooddiarrhoea programs.
Participate in the central/provincial government task force/informal working groups on theIFA supplementation andORS and zinc supplementation inchildhood diarrhoea programs.
Facilitate and support the advocacy meetings/activities and organize technical orprogrammatic workshops at the district and provincial levels. 
3. Support field Implementation 
Facilitate the district level extenders to work with the provincial and district level localgovernments (DoH).
Provide technical support and guidance to district level extenders and supervise their work.
