Brief
To produce the year book for the Printed textiles and surface considering print and digital delivery. This book is used to promote the course and showcase the graduating years work.

Concept
The publication is split into four sections; course disciplines, process, material and print. The idea of the book is to convey a narrative process for how the students work from ideas right through to the production stages of their work.

Design direction
The Printed textiles and surface pattern team wanted something that was more abstract than before, showcasing work in different ways rather than photos or art work of the whole product. The emphasis needed to be on the students work and what their creative process of working is. Throughout the book images have been cropped from the original art work to create small swatches of each image. The images have been edited to show how the students work within the various process within the course.

Design direction
Within the book the layout is inconsistent, we wanted to keep each spread quite different, using the image scales to dictate the pace of the book. Throughout the book there are tiled section breaks which use the same tessellation system as the front cover. Most of the images have been cropped in order for the work to be shown in a more abstract way. The names and folios are situated in the margins, folios in the outside margins and the student names corrispond to the images on each page. It has been structured like this to bring balance to the pages.

Book
The cover for the year book is made up of tesserlating diamonds, following a similar direction to the inside of the book the images have been cropped down to show a small segment of the design. The cover features all the students that have been showcased with the book.

Concept
The online presence of the site acts as an online showcase of the course. The website is a point in which, potential students, and creative professional can access gain access to each students work with a break down of what that student specialises in. The site allows for all the students to be grouped together so when using the book as a reference point the user can get a better, more in depth understanding of who produced the work.

Design direction
Using the same tesellating design as the front cover and the section break pages the site has a diamond for each student on the year. When clicked this navigates to a personal page, inlcudes information about the student, links to any website they may have and a gallery of work.
