DIST ORTED

This series represent the transformation of reality trough a

photographic lens. The images are produced solely with photographic
techniques and are not digitally edited2. In an effort to challenge the
viewers’ perspective DISTORTED depicts the defragmentation of reality
only to reveal deeper and more honest layers of truth. As opposed to
staged and directed photography DISTORTED represents a diaretical
series of images that constructs specific viewpoint of experienced
reality.

This work is intended to be a visual expression of a postmodern

subjectivity. The use of artistic interpretation here doesn’t aim to
conceal but to divulge what is hidden under the everyday contexts.
Bold, expressionist interpretations of the observed world seek to
acknowledge subjective perspectivism and thus demonstrate the potential
for agency in both creation and experience of reality. Alerting the
visual perspectives of a viewer, the images open space for
consideration; the more blurred an image is, the more it has to say.
