Project Proposal

This proposal can be seen as an outline at this address: reps.blogs.lincoln.ac.uk

Reps Website
Prepared for: Student Council Prepared by: Wesley Wells, VP Academic Affairs 29 July 2012

Executive Summary
Objective
For the rep system to function at its fullest capabilities the users need an online space for communicating their work to eachother, to students and to staff. Students should be able to search for all their course rep. School and College level reps should be well advertised on the front page The role of a rep should be better communicated All resources that reps need and use should be publicly available from one area

Goals
Due to the databasing involved in the who is my rep section and the fact that none of the course reps are yet in post. It would be a good start to have the broad job descriptions, any useful documents and links in the resources section and a owchart of the rep structure ready for the September 2012/13 cohort of students.

Solution
I will continue to work on the reps.blogs site whilst the SUs communications department congures a better version of the website in conjunction with their overhaul of the current lincolnsu.com site.

Who is my rep?
For now well accomplish this by asking people to post their questions through social media or an email and well reply individually.

Other pages
What does a rep do? What can I see my rep about? How do I contact my rep? How can I become a rep?

And for the reps: Useful information about the University Pre-answered F.A.Qs Online training resources Information about volunteering Contact information for their relevant departments. The site would also include space for the university staff so they can fully understand and communicate with the reps on their course to ensure that student engagement is at the very heart of what their students are learning.
