UNIT # #8 : I sometimes watch TV UNIT AIMS: To communicate the amount of times one does an action and at a specific hour NUMBER OF LESSONS IN THIS UNIT: 20 NUMBER OF WEEKLY LESSONS: 5 LESSON # #1: Different types of TV programs #2: Make a show #3: Adverbs of frequency and shows #4: Compound nouns #5: Writing - legends of Ecuador DATE: May 21st, 2012 LESSON AIMS: #1: to analyze different tv shows #2: to act out favorite show #3: to ask and answer questions about tv shows #4: to make forms of compound nouns #5: to practice writing skills ACTIVITIES: RESOURCES: #1: ask students about the different types of -box show that the students watch and what -pieces of paper different families watch. Then explain the -paint and marker different types of tv programs and give an -studentbook example of the 8 types learned in the lesson. -notebook Then complete pg 58 in book and pg 116 ex 4 -legends of Ecuador book a&b #2. Using a box, create a background scene for a tv show, then create the dialogue and act out their favorite tv program actors and have students try to guess what sow is acted out #3: have students make a survey about how many times students watch specific tv shows elected from them. Then tally the results and have students give information about the most voted show 4: pick out different types of tv programs. On pieces of paper write the names of these show but in two part form. Then hve students match the two parts and explain what are compound nouns and give other examples of these types of nouns. #5: have students pick out their favorite story and write about what they liked and disliked and draw their favorite part of the story. ASSESSMENT: - questions and answers -classwork
