The "Capital Tastes" tour on October 17th from 9:30am-12:30pm introduces participants to Wellington's cafes, local products, and people through sightseeing and tastings, with lunch vouchers. The "Retail Therapy" tour that same day from 2:00pm-4:00pm takes up to 15 people shopping for New Zealand and international fashion with a former model and TV presenter as their guide.

    For the first time CILT in association with NZL group, are excited to offer partners of attendees to the 2012 conference an exciting programme of events. This has been designed for visitors to Wellington to experience the best the area has to offer in food and fashion, as well as for locals to rediscover the delights of the Best Little Capital in the World!

    Capital Tastes
    Personal sightseeing with food. Discover fresh tastes in New Zealand's caf capital, as we introduce you to the city, its local tastes, products and people on this popular tour. Stroll behind the scenes at some of our favourite Wellington food places with a personal guide, to taste hidden culinary treasures and meet some of the people behind some of the citys best food. At the end of the tour receive a Bonus Voucher for lunch or dinner at two of Wellingtons best eateries, receiving 25% off the price (to a certain value).
    Tour Date and times : Wed 17 October, 9:30am -12:30pm Pick up from The Intercontinental Hotel Grey Street Price: $NZ 120 pp, inc GST, all tastings, including lunch with matched wines and guiding. Walking Time: Approx 50 mins Each group will have no more than ten guests, each with their own guide.

    Hit the shops in downtown Wellington for a tour of the hottest NZ and international designer fashion and shopping on offer in the CBD. Sally-ann will take you to stores off the beaten track where you will find the very best retail therapy that Wellington has to offer. (2hrs $95 per person) About Sally - ann This former model and television fashion presenter really knows her stuff. As a stylist Sally-ann has worked with Trinny & Susannah, Anna Paquin, Brooke Fraser and has won numerous fashion awards. She styles celebrities, every day people and magazine photo shoots. She knows fashion and most importantly she knows Downtown Wellington inside and out. She knows the best local designers, the best unique local shopping spots and where to get the best hot chocolate you ever tasted.
