Consequently the argument is that it is the only chance for the English directors to get their film in the cinema. So it is vicious cycle. The company that produced the film was Sea Saw films founded in 2008 by Emilie Sherman and Iain canning, it operated out of both Sydney and London. Another film it has produced was Oranges and sunshine starring Emily Watson. The Weinstein Company and Prescience were the first financiers in after UK distributor momentum. The co-producer for this film was a man called Ian canning who decided to keep the project independent.
