#62) from 23 to 21. A note was added to indicate that the
max length for Pell legacy records will still be 23, and that
the remaining 2 positions for ACG and National SMART
will always be zeros and not blanks or spaces.
Updated the valid field content of College Year (Field # III-3-17
37) to remove the phrase “Can be blank” in the Pell
Grant, ACG, and National SMART Grant External
Origination Add/Change Record layout. Also, added
additional processing notes regarding the College Year in
the Processing Notes/Edits column.
Updated the valid field content of Eligibility/Payment III-3-18
Reason (Field # 38) to remove the phrase “Can be blank”
in the Pell Grant, ACG, and National SMART Grant
External Origination Add/Change Record layout.
Updated the valid field content of High School Program III-3-18
(Field # 39) to add conditions for when this field can be
blank in the Pell Grant, ACG, and National SMART
Grant External Origination Add/Change Record layout.
Also added the following note “Refer to Volume 6,
Section 9 – Rigorous Secondary School Programs of Study
and Eligible Majors for applicable High School Program
Codes.”
