The Library of Parliament is proud to be participating in Canadas Democracy Week from 15 to 22 September 2012.

An educational initiative organized by Elections Canada and supported by the Library, Democracy Week provides an invaluable opportunity to celebrate our democratic system and raise awarenessespecially among young peopleof the importance of civic engagement. As part of this second annual event, the Library is pleased to introduce a new web resource aimed specifically at youth:

Explore Our Country, Our Parliament www.parl.gc.ca/explore Based on the popular publication Our Country, Our Parliament, the site uses games, videos and interactive media to encourage youth to discover the democratic process and connect to the Parliament of Canada. You can also participate in Canadas Democracy Week. Heres how!
