SUBJECT: Invitation to Join Konsultahang Kabatan-onan

Dear fellow youth in Cebu:

Warm nationalist greetings of peace and solidarity!

Today, Cebuano youth and students are those bearing the brunt of the historic crises we are
facing, such as the skyrocketing prices of jeepney fares, oil and other basic goods; insufficient
wages and nearly abject job opportunities; and lack of student support services. However, amid
all of these, we remain full of hope that we can collectively overcome these challenges and fulfill
our role as nation-builders.

To consolidate the youth’s effort and strengthen our unity, a Konsultahang Kabatan-onan will
be held this October 8, 2022, Saturday from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM. The event will be joined
by Kabataan Party-list Representative Raoul Manuel. The venue of the event is currently
being finalized. We will inform you 2-3 days before the actual day of the activity.

The program of the event are as follows:

● Updating on Kabataan’s Legislative Efforts and consultation with youth-attendees
○ Campus Press Freedom Bill
○ Students’ Rights Bill
○ Safe School Reopening Bill
○ Academic Freedom Bill
○ Proposed Amendments of the 2023 National Budget
● Break
● Workshop and resolution-building

In this regard, we are reaching out to your organization to participate in this timely activity
as we forge greater unities in the pursuit of advancing the youth and people’s rights and
welfare. A minimum of at least 5-7 delegates may attend the event. We also suggest that
delegates from your organization may prepare a list of concerns or inquiries that may be directly
consulted with our youth representative in Congress, so as to keep the flow of the activity
efficient.
