To: Honorable Musa Hassan Bility

Aspirant House of Representatives
District #7, Nimba County
Republic of Liberia

Re: Endorsement Of Candidacy

Dear Hon. Bility:

Please excuse the length of this correspondence. In order to fully

explain our intention that had been made over the past few months,
we are attempting to summarize and convey all of the relevant and
complete information to you.

We are employees and contractors of China Chongqing International

Construction Corporation (CICO), residing in various towns around
our place of work including Saclapie City; presently working on the
project: Ganta – Saclapie Road, Approximately 39 Kilometers. We are
all citizens of Liberia and above age 18, and we are approximately
three hundred and fifty individuals, organized to support your
candidacy through our votes and voices.

We the workforce of the company mentioned above have had ample

opportunities in the past few months to analyze the aims and
objectives of the various competitors in the upcoming elections. Your
honest and practical approach towards development sets you apart
from the other candidates. You have shown great concern for the
residents of district #7 and the county at large, and your willingness
to listen to people's problems is commendable. We are writing today
to show our allegiance and support for you and your campaign. It is
our intention to vote for you. We will also spread the word about your
abilities and competence. We have adopted a strategy of EACH ONE
BRING ONE to add to your campaign strategy. We are confident that
you will succeed.
In view of the aforesaid, we are also writing to ask you to pledge to
include youth empowerment; agriculture project and a true
reconciliation design to put an end to the tribal strive between our
people among your public policy priorities, if elected to public office.
As evidence of such a pledge, we seek your endorsement of the Three
Fundamentals to Prevent and End tribe-based discrimination amongst
the people of Nimba, a designed systematic approach of principles for
reconciliation.

The mass unemployment of youth in Liberia is a social evil and

national shame. Unemployment and underemployment have big effects
on the Liberian economy and are areas of top priority for the Liberian
government. Employment is considered “the most urgent demand of
the population”. In Liberia, one third of the population is between 15
and 35 years old and youth make up a large part of the unemployed
and underemployed. The current population of Liberia is 5,395,813 as
of Saturday, April 22, 2023, based on projections of the latest United
Nations data. It has been estimated that about a third of the youths in
the Liberian labour force are unemployed. Furthermore, 68 percent of
the Liberian labour force are employed on the informal labour market.
The International Labour Organization (ILO) finds that the world is
currently facing an “unprecedented youth employment crisis”.
Together with other international organizations like the United
Nations (UN) but also the Liberian state, it frequently stresses that
unemployed youth can cause instability and conflict. At the same time,
youth are also perceived as positive agents for change and for the
future.

Mass unemployment and underemployed are not the result of personal

deficits of individuals, but rather the failure of government at all
levels to ensure that social and economic conditions are in place that
allows each Liberian to secure basic human needs, including health
care, a source of income, and a permanent, safe, and affordable place
to live. But why our youth and huge number of the population suffered
from unemployment when Liberia is richly endowed with water,
mineral resources, forests, and a climate favorable to
agriculture.  According to an assessment conducted by the Swiss
Development Corporation (SDC) in 2012 states that Liberia is a
resource-rich country. Liberia has all the ingredients to become self-
sufficient in its staple food (rice) production: sufficient irrigable land,
adequate knowhow and farmers who are willing to produce more.
Agriculture alone could be the biggest contributor to our labour and to
our GDP. However, Liberia is still food insecure.

With that being said, and to conclusively conclude, we the CICO

Workers For Bility have decided and have come to endorse your
candidacy, Hon. Bility. Because we believe and we have seen that you
are an agent of change and development. To reiterate, we strongly
advocate that you include The Three Fundamentals Principles: youth
empowerment; agriculture project and a true reconciliation design to
prevention and end tribe-based discrimination among your public
policy priorities.

Together, we can help design a project proposals on the three

fundamentals principles stated in this endorsement correspondence.
We look forward to working with you to make this aspiration a reality.

Thanks.

Sincerely,
