Y11 Religion: Islam Presentation

Task: Create a 5-7 minute presentation about a self-selected topic related to Islam. Create a one-page, typed handout which briefly explains the most important points from the presentation (points you think your fellow students should know and remember). Make enough copies of the handout for all students in the class. Essay Rubric: Competences Present an overview of the diversity of Islam and important historic events. Gather digital information about, and present current questions that are of concern to many Muslims. Grade 2 The presentation is no longer than 7 minutes in length. The presentation device (Power Point, Prezi, poster, etc.) includes images and is easy to read. The handout is easy to read and understand. The handout includes points from the presentation. The presentation and handout have been checked for spelling/ grammatical errors. Grade 4 The presentation demonstrates that the topic has been researched The presentation is between 5 and 7 minutes in length. The presentation device (PowerPoint, Prezi, poster, etc.) includes relevant images and is easy to read. The handout is typed and easy to read and understand. The handout includes the most important points from the presentation. Each student in the group has contributed to the project. The presentation and handout have few spelling/ grammatical errors. Grade 6 The presentation demonstrates a thorough investigation of the topic. The presentation is between 5 and 7 minutes in length. When possible the presentation connects the topic to current events or modern world issues. The presentation device (PowerPoint, Prezi, poster, etc.) includes relevant images, is easy to read, and is pleasing to the eye. The handout is typed and easy to read and understand. The handout helps the audience remember the most important points from the presentation. Where possible, each student in the group has contributed equally to the project. Where possible, text is in the students own words. The presentation and handout have very few spelling/ grammatical errors.
