It Matters Not

Poeta Ricardo Sal LaRosa

It matters not if I die today As long as I wrapped in your arms, my love ! And your lips be the last I feel As I peacefully leave this world ! It matters not if earth explodes Into a zillion pieces Poetic justice Has a sense of humor after all ! It matters not that those jealous gods schemed against us Keeping us apart Making your beautiful eyes cry As my rage flourished day by day ! And then my patience ended As did their lives As my demented spirit ripped them apart Mercilessly ! It matters not what is good or evil Dualities are just conventional chains Meant to keep us blind From knowing our true selves; from reaching our true potentials ! And it matters not, my love ! That my lifeless body withers away For my eternal Spirit is alive and waiting for you On the moon with arms stretched out !
