1. In your blog, type a paragraph explaining what you have learned. I learned that with exponents you multiply the number by the exponent however many times the exponent says. I also learned what a base, a power, and what they do. Another thing I learned is what a power is a shortcut to. I learned a better way to think about exponents. 2. What is a base? A base is the bottom number(normal number) 3. What is a power? A power is an exponent and it is a floating number 4. What does a base and power (exponent) tell you to do? A base tells you what number is being multiplied. The power tells you how many times to multiply the base. 5. What is a power a shortcut to? A power is a shorter was to right out for example 5 exponent 5 or 5x5x5x5x5 6. How could you use geometry to describe squaring or cubing a number? In geometry when you are finding the area you square the number and when finding the volume you cube the number. For example if the area is 15 cubed it is 15 exponent 3 or 15x15x15
