CASTING CALL: Full feature film American Nightmare

Tag Line: He had the American dream. He woke up in the American nightmare. The casting call is primarily for the leading actors, but we will be considering individuals for all roles. Film Description: The film is an ultra-violent, sexual, crime drama. It is about a down and out DEA agent, who has been riding a desk since he accidently killed a child in duty. He now has a second chance to make a big difference on the war on drugs and redeem himself from his personal demons, when he is paired with an informant who is fresh out of jail. The two men begin a violent journey to take down the drug lords in a nameless American city. As things progress the DEA agent quickly realizes, the informant is a psychopath who is completely uncontrollable. Can the agent overcome his own shortcomings to take control of the situation or will the informant get the best of him.

Location: Graduation Lounge (York University) 166 South Ross (Keele Campus) Date: Friday October 26th, 2012 Time: 6:00pm (We are not offering pay for this film, the movie will be submitted to TIFF April 26th, 2013 for consideration, the film will also be submitted to many other film festivals and independent theaters.) We are looking for motivated actors who would like the experience of working on a full feature independent film. The casting call will be supervised by the director Chris Craik and producer Matt Woods.

Leading roles available: Pablo (DEA agent): Pablo is a Latino American who joined the DEA after many successful tours in the Special Forces. Since an accidental shooting, Pablo is now depressed and riding a desk. He has many issues to overcome, personal and professional. (This role includes brief nudity) (This is the leading role) Jacob (Drug dealer): Jacob is not your typical drug dealer; he is a very cleancut nerdy University student, who at the same time deals drugs out of his car. His role in the drug world is bigger then it seems throughout the film. (Major role) Capt Heather Armstrong: She is Pablos boss and the head of the DEA. She is a confident, strong, stunningly beautiful woman. Her role changes drastically throughout film. (This role involves nudity) (Major role) Carl: He is big time drug dealer, who works out of his apartment tower. He is a physically small man but extremely violent and gives off the impression of toughness, when push comes to shove he is a coward. (Major role) Agent Scotts and Tucker: These two men are very cocky DEA agents in their late thirties; they spend a lot of time picking on Pablo. (Mid-size role) Pablos Psychiatrist: Professional looking older women. (Minor role) Riverside Boys Gang: Three teenage men, young looking, they are your typical white boy want to be gangsters. (Minor role) (One gang member has brief nudity) Local Cop: Typical looking traffic cop. (minor role) Hooker #1: Beautiful women (who will be dressed down and made to look rough with make-up) this is a minor role, which bears great importance to the development of the leading characters. (This role includes nudity) Hooker #2: Same as above hooker. (Please email regarding these roles, they are extremely important to the film) (I can set up private casting call for them) Soups gang: There are about 40 men and women in his gang. (They are all part of a massive shoot-out) Soup: He is a nightclub owner and big time drug dealer. (major role) Extras and other minor roles will be considered for all interested.
