Details of the opening 2 mins:
It start off with the camera looking up into the sky showing the weather as
trying to juxtaposition what is about to happen. Next it moves down to a
long shot of the setting as a birds eye view. Thats when it cuts to where
we meet the characters who seem to be a mother and the father of a
teenage boy in the car, talking about whether what they are doing is a
good decision. The sound of birds and leaves rustling in the woods where
their house and the film is set, as well as we can hear the sound of eagles
that are found in those woods like the one the movie is set in in the
woods. The lighting in the scene although its quite bright and natural
juxtapositions what the actual plot of the movie is which is much more
violent and chaotic than what it starts out to be.

Details of the opening 2 mins:
In the opening sequence we get introduced to the main character which
we can see in the poster for the movie Would you rather. She is looking for
a job at a local restaurant as we can see from a mid-shot somewhere
behind some chairs which are put up on the tables where we can tell that
the setting is a restaurant and from the interview we can tell that she is
on her own as she doesnt have someone to help her take care of her
brother also she knows the town as we hear that she left from this town.
Although she wasnt in the area for a long time as she just came back
however we dont know from where. The man interviewing her says he
can see if he can help her although he doesnt promises anything. This
gives her some hope. And through the shot slowly zooming in we still
dont get to see the face of the man who says is going to help her
therefore we can deduce that he may not be trustworthy or he may not be
an important character in the role. The lighting is quite dark inside
especially in the kitchen therefore setting the tone of the movie as well as
we can see one light ray coming from outside as it looks quite natural
which shines onto our main actress.

Details of the opening 2 mins:
During the opening sequence the audience is taken straight in the middle
of the action as we see a man running in the middle of the road dodging
cars with the camera following him being handheld and at timing when to
stop and when not to when following his movements. Although we dont
see the guys face, we do see his badge and from that we can deduce that
he is a cop. When he enters the door the shot is lined up in a way so we
are not able to see the cops face due to the excessive light in the
background. We then follow this unknown character as he slowly moves
up through the building finding all the dead bodies left behind. He hears
sounds of fear as someone is being tortured. As he gets closer to the open
door where he believes the sound is coming from he hears a gun behind
him and the audience only see the shadow of the hand holding the gun at
the back of his head. The lighting is quite bright when the cop walks in as
if to show that he is the good guy in this situation.

The movie starts off when the production companies start to appear on
the screen as we hear someone smashing something or hitting some sort
of metal then we see a steel door that seems unbreakable as well as we
can hear someone narrating this exact situation. Then we are taken
downstairs to the lobby were we dont see anyone and we are shown the
computers at the lobby that show nothing apart from screens that are
broken and a system error warning on one of the computers. Then we see
why there is no one to be seen in the lobby and that is due to the fact that
they are dead. We are then taken outside with a continuous shot going
faster and faster upwards towards the top floor where we meet the main
character of the plot Bradley Cooper. On the verge of jumping of the side
of the building almost stepping off and seeming happy to do so. However

released, only to find that he must find his captor in five days.
Production Companies:
Show East
Egg Films
Actors:
Min-sik Choi
Ji-tae Yu
Details of the opening 2 mins:
It starts off with a POV shot of someone looking upwards as he is being
held up by his tie then follows towards the end of the tie where we see
who is the one in control and we see our main character in that shot
however we cant see his face too well as there is bright lighting behind
him then it switches to a shot of who he is holding which some South
Korean guy with a poodle who is hanging of a building. Then it zooms in to
a close up shot of the main character as he is faced with a decision of
someones life, then it cuts out as something is about to happen to
someone else who is seen to have a nose bleed then we hear the name
Oh-Dae-Su which is the name of the man who seems to be drunk as he
is giving the cops a hard time. Sound there is no sound apart from the
dialogue of the characters. The lighting at the start at the back of the
mans head makes it so it shadows his face and the audience is not able
to see his face clearly creating a sense of mystery of who it might be.
