people who love to watch thrillers.

Analysis
At the beginning of the trailer there are a few establishing shots
of an empty city at night time. This is a perfect location for a
thriller because they are making a safe location turn into an
unsafe location. Still at this point we are introduced to no
characters and there is a high angle shot of people on
construction. We are then first introduced to a character with a
big close up of him in a car and we hear a narrator who we
presume it’s the same person. There is a diegetic sound of a
loud car and overhead shots of the red car, we progressively
see the car more as the advert goes on.

We then see the man at work for the first time when he is
taking pictures of a crime scene that has just happened and
there are tracking shots of him, as he gets closer and closer to
the crime scene. Throughout the trailer we have only seen side
angle views of the man but for the first time we are introduced to the man's full image with a
tilt shot. From this shot we see the dedication that he has for this job
because he has his camera in the air looking over the incident and
the policeman begins to wave him off. We see a two shot of him
speaking to his boss for the first time and he is telling her about his
passion for television.

We see a graphic that pops up saying ‘This Fall’ then the music
begins to get louder. There is a close up of
an audio interface, this shows how dedicated he is to getting the
perfect shots because he is sitting waiting for a news report. Then
there is a graphic sound that matches with the car, this is the same
red car that we have seen many times in the trailer. There is a low
angle mid shot of the man creeping round the car to try and get a
picture of the crime scene and we see some live footage of the body
being trapped under the car.

There is then a car that goes straight into the side of the police car and we hear a crashing
sound, this then makes the music start to build up and get louder. There is a shot reverse
shot of him and his boss. She looks quite annoyed with him as she walks off and he is just
sitting there with no emotion. There is a track shot of the same red car, as it drives down the
road in low key lighting this again shows us that the red car is a main part of the storyline
because we have seen it before each crime scene in the trailer. There is then a close up of
the man giving direct address to the audience as he speaks about getting to the top and
being successful, this is an enigma because he looks very
creepy and we don't really understand what he is up to. There
is a comparison of him in the day compared to him at night
because he looks quite calming in the day but at night he
becomes someone who can’t stop working and will do
anything that will earn him money.

We then see a more sinister side to him as there is a medium

close up of him standing looking worried and then we see a
mid shot of him dragging a body along the floor. In this shot there is a low key lighting but we
see the body through the headlights of the car. This shows us a
different side to the man that we haven't yet seen because he has
had parts in the trailer where he has looked mysterious but in the
part of the trailer it shows us that he is quite dangerous and
desperate. There is a long shot of the man standing with his
camera in the air trying to get the right shot. This shows that his
dedication has become too much because we assume that he has
put the body there himself.

There is a medium close up of the man looking at the camera saying “if you want to win the
lottery you've got to make the money to buy a ticket” this is a direct address to the audience
and it emphasises the point of the man's dedication to earning money. The music begins to
build up and the editing starts to get quicker and quicker and we hear the man saying “you
have to make the money to buy a ticket” over and over again where he is speaking to clients
or his colleagues. There is more action towards the end of
the trailer as there is a POV shot of a body lying in a
puddle of blood and we start to see the man at breaking
point. We start to see more emotion from the man as we
see a range of close ups that show he is angry or worried.
We see the first close up in low key lighting with him
looking at something and he looks in shock which we
have rarely seen in the trailer. Then we see his angry
reflection in the mirror, this is the first time we see him in
complete rage. The majority of the time he is quite charming but now we have started to see
more and more anger because things may not be going his
way. The music has got louder and we have a big close up
of him behind the camera and then there is an over the
shoulder shot of him at a house. As he takes the photo we
hear a loud bang and it fades to black.

There is no noise when the screen turns black but then we

see the man through the camera as he is on television. This
is a change because he is normally out looking for the footage but instead he is now behind
the desk looking to present the news. There is a direct address by the man as he looks into
the camera with a look of calmness and cockiness. It fades to black and the music and title
fades in.
