1)What is my understanding about

a) Solution heat treatment Is a process by heating the material to a suggested temperature that is below the melting point which is 495 C to 10 C. Its then cool by quenching in cold water. The metal hardness and strength will increase in saverals days after the process in done. Its known as natural aging.

b) Precipitation heat treatment. Is done after the process of solution heat treatment to increase the strength and to speed up the aging process. Its then heated to specific temperature (lower than solution heat trement) for few hours and cooled it by air. Its also known as artificial aging.

c) Anealing. Analing process takes over for softens the materials for manipulation process. This process procedure consists of heating the materials (specific temperature) and then by cooling at room temperature.

d) Tempering. This process is the process to relieve internal strain of hardened steel and induced the strength to withstand heavy stress, vibration, or impact so that the steel doesnt crack or fracture. The process begin with heat the metal to temperature below the critical temperature. It then soak between 1 to 11 or 12 hours. Lastly its cool in air or quenched in oil, water, brine.

e) Normalising Is the process to relieves stress caused by machining, welding, etc to produce maximum refinement of the grain structure. Its done before other treatment to ensure a fine grain structure. The procedure begins with heat the steel between 30 degree celcius to 80 degree celcius above under critical teperature. Its then soaked for half to 1 hour per inches of thickness. Followed by cooling in still air.

f) Hardening Hardening produces a fine grain structure, great hardness, maximum tensile strength and minimum ductility. The hardening process. The process is done by heat steel above the critical temperature, soaked between 15m to 30m, rapid quenching through suitable medium such as brine, water, oil, and wster.
