Few Canadians live more than an afternoons drive from wilderness. Beyond the towns are woods and lakes, and then rock, tundra, and ice that stretches to the top of the world.

For over 300 years, Hudsons Bay Company has been more than a retailer - its a brand Canadians recognized instantly, from multicolored stripes of its point blanket to the bays ribbon banner. Where bay man once traded blankets with first nations trappers for pelts, today the retailer offers the best and brightest of the worlds fashions. The merchandise may be different but the mission is the same: to deliver what is new, exciting, and authentic. This is 1670.

COMPLIMENT: 1670 & HBC The 1670 collection is built to compliment & modernize the iconic HBC four-color stripe. On the retail floor within The Bay, our products will compliment the Hudsons Bay Signature items on offer, but also be able to stand on their own as a comprehensive collection in premium wholesale channels outside of the Bay globally. All the best things come from keeping good company.
MULTI-STRIPE

EXPAND: 1670 & HBC 1670 will focus on a robust product and price architecture across all categories, that will allow the HBC stripes to be the icing on the 1670 cake, used in an obvious way on less than 33% of the overall collection. This will give 1670 greater penetration beyond the walls of the Bay and expand this iconic brand to new customers globally. Always focusing on a great value proposition of iconic style, uncompromising quality and everyday wearability.

MANITOBAH MUKLUKS Our story begins in Canada thousands of years ago, when our ancestors created the mukluks and moccasins you see in these pages. Throughout history, Aboriginal nations used distinctive leather, furs and beadwork to reflect their individual customs and culture. Today, as Mtis, we continue this tradition by creating authentic, functional footwear that connects our past with new materials and production techniques. Stitch by stitch, bead by bead, we tell the story of our People.
