Procedure: 1 You will be given one week to prepare a speech for a debate entitled Measurements are meaningless if standard units are not used. 2 Your teacher will divide your class into groups. In each group, form two teams, the afrmative and the opposition teams. 3 Each team will collect evidence on the topic from the Internet, books and magazines to support your teams position. 4 Use this evidence to prepare a set of persuasive arguments to sway the judges to your side. 5 Each team member is given 3 minutes to deliver the speech. 6 The member of each team will present his/her ideas in the class. Your teacher, along with your fellow students will determine a winner.
