BREAKFAST WITH TEACHER Mrs. Klueters Breakfast with Teacher was held on Thursday, October 25th. During breakfast, parents, grandparents, family and friends were invited to learn of the learning/instructional plan for the school year, with ways that parents can help their children at home and at school and any additional information that they feel would be of benefit for the parents. The focus of this years Breakfast with Teacher is Reading. Each classroom prepared and presented to parents an activity on what they are learning in the classroom. Thank

Retakes have been rescheduled for Friday, November 16th. Your child will get their pictures taken on Friday if: You were not satisfied with the first package you purchased (send back first picture packet to give to the photographer) Your child was absent on picture day Your child did not get their pictures taken on picture day and you would like school pictures. Picture MONEY IS DUE on Friday, November 16th when pictures are taken if you do not return a picture packet. If your child did not have their picture taken on the first picture date and you want them to get their pictures taken on November 16th, please either contact the office at 965-9735 or send a note to the teacher to have an order envelope sent home.

HALLOWEEN TRUNK OR TREAT & PUMPKIN RUN AT URBANDALE


TRUNK OR TREAT: Volunteers came with cars, vans and trucks ready to treat all the Urbandale children. As students were dismissed from their classrooms, they strolled out to the playground to the sounds of Monster Mash and Thriller. children went Trunk or Treating. The sights and sounds were enjoyed by everyone who came to volunteer or to just enjoy the sights on the childrens faces. PUMPKIN RUN: Students ran a course around the block completing to win a pumpkin in Urbandales annual Pumpkin Run. Mr. Starkey, Urbandales gym teacher, set a course for students to run and a boy and girl from each grade won a pumpkin to take home at the end of the day. The weather was great and the students and volunteers had a great time and everyone was treated to donuts and cider at the end of each run.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY The students in Mrs. Baltutat, Mrs. Decker and Mrs. Labrecques room visited the staff and residents at Laurels of Bedford on Friday, October 26th for a day of caring to give back to the community. The students wore their costumes and trick or treated throughout the facility and enjoyed visiting with the residents. This was a wonderful day for the staff, students and also those who both live and work at the Laurels of Bedford. It was truly a Day of Caring
