INTRO:


In a biological narrative, the writer writes about a person and describes them to the core, the writer uses many techniques as a way of writing this type of essay. I chose to do this practice because I can show what kind of person my dad is. I can demonstrate many skills; one of then is the use of quotations throughout the essay and using them effectively. Another skill is the use of in text citations after the use of quotations, and the inclusion of a works cited list. This is a powerful type of essay because you can show what kind of person that is whom you are trying to describe, whether it is something good that person does or a negative affect that person had.

Jose Gonzalez, Jr. was born in Bellower in 1976. He grew up in a very poor family and they all struggled throughout their lives because they lived in poverty. It was my dads sisters: Maria, Martina, Angie, Celia, Mirella, Imelda and his brothers: Luis and Momo.Even though we were poor, we had each other, and thats all that mattered to me. (Jose) My father expresses his belief that money is not everything; family is what matters. To this day I can see that my dad doesnt care if were wealthy or not, because he says that this luxury doesnt matter. Instead, being together is what counts and this is what he passes on to our family. As he grew up, my dad could see that his dad was a very honest, loyal, and respectful person. These qualities show up in my dad because of his upbringing. I teach these qualities to my kids because people need to be like this if they want to grow up to be a good person. (Jose) It is an everyday thing; my dad talks to us about how we need to be and to just get the good qualities out of him because if we start being like him in the bad kind of way, we will end up like him. So, he uses himself as an example to exemplify the fact that we do need to be more like how my grandfather used to be.
In the year, 1997, my uncle was gunned down because my dad and both his brothers used to be in a gang. After this incident, my dads side of the family blamed this all on him. This was the most difcult part of my life, getting blamed for his death. I couldnt believe this was happening, to this day, I still cant get this out of mind. (Jose) When my dad has these moments, he cries. He talks about the fact that people put this much blame on him and how he still has this conscious reminder of his actions and how they lead to my uncles death.
I now live with my wife and 6 kids and it feels good to guide them in the right direction, to lead them to their successful future. I really care about them and because of my father I got
