For this project, you are to compose a song that includes at least four layers of different repetitive patterns. Consider the different musical examples we listened to in class. These ostinato patterns can be melodic or rhythmic. These are the guidelines: 1. At least 30 measures 2. Four different layers 3. Each layer must be an ostinato B. Write a three paragraph summary of your composition. In your summary, answer the following questions: 1. Why did you create each layer? Did you focus on melody or harmony? 2. What mood/emotion were you trying to portray? 3. Describe the texture of each layer. This summary must be typed. C. Be prepared to play your composition for the rest of the class and discuss the questions above.
