12 ANGRY MEN

Twelve guys are on a jury. They've finished hearing the case, and are now deliberating about their decision. Eleven of them want to convict the guy. One thinks he's innocent. The other eleven want him to change his vote so they can deliver their verdict and go home. He refuses, so they have to argue about it. If they can't reach a unanimous decision, the case will have to be re-tried. They argue a lot. Gradually, the other eleven jurors come around to agreeing with the one holdout that the accused was innocent, and that his lawyer did a lousy job of representing him. They all have different characters and different reasons for believing the way they do, so it's not all the same argument each time. They go through all the evidence presented in the trial, so you get a sense of what happened. In the end, they all come around to the one holdout guy's way of thinking, and unanimously agree to deliver a verdict of "not guilty." Justice triumphs. I'm sorry if that doesn't hit your "five sentence" target, but not everything can be described in five sentences.
