for Tim Batten. Mr. Batten was my student teacher at Harding Middle School in Des Moines, Iowa, from October 15 December 7, 2012. While working at Harding, Mr. Batten demonstrated a commitment to teaching that was most appreciated. Mr. Batten was responsible for teaching two sections 6th grade Global Studies, two sections of 7th grade Global Studies, and two sections of 8th grade Civics. Mr. Batten showed a sincere enthusiasm for education and the needs of our school, and demonstrated ability to relate to our diverse population. The students enjoyed having Tim as part of our classroom and he was certainly able to relate with our kids. More importantly, the students responded well to his instruction.
