4. Procedures

The teacher will ask the following questions:


1. Based on our previous sessions, what is your impression of the theater industry in the
Philippines?
2. Would you like to attend a stage production of the various theater groups? Why or Why not?
4.1 Introductory
3. What type of play most interests you? Explain the reason.
Activity
( 5 minutes)
The teacher will brief/orient the students on the entire process that they will go through in the
remaining sessions of Quarter IV. These sessions will be devoted to working on all aspects of
the stage production that can be done in the classroom. Any other related tasks may be
completed outside class hours.

The teacher will group the students into two. Each group will be given time to plan for the
culminating activity for the fourth quarter.
STAGING AN ORIGINAL PERFORMANCE
Sourcing/Writing the Script
Assigned Theme:
Group 1: Drug Awareness
4.2 Opening
Group 2: DRRM (Disaster Risk Reduction Management)
Activity
(30 minutes)
Each group will start writing the script for the play related to their assigned theme. They can use
existing script as their source but if an existing script is not available or not suitable for school
use, the group will create an original script.

Each member should contribute to the conceptualization of their original performance.

4.3 Casting the Actors

4.4 Concluding Forming the Production Team
Activity The remaining class members will be assigned the following roles that are typically required for

c. Set Designer, with a team of 3-5 students as production crew
d.Lighting Designer, with a team of 3-5 students as lighting crew

e. Sound Designer, with a team of 3-5 students as sound crew


f. Production Manager, with a team of 4-6 students as stage crew
g. Costume Designer, with a team of 3-5 students as wardrobe crew
h. Makeup Designer, with a team of 2-3 students as makeup crew
i. Choreographer, with an Assistant Choreographer
5. Assessment
