Example of warmer: Chinese Whisper as a game, find the missing objects, simple introduction. It may
be linked to the topic/ or may not be linked to the topic. The purpose is to relax the learners.
Example of context setting: Depending on the topic the teacher can show pictures or videos and pose
questions about it. It is the students who would respond. The teacher can give clues. The discussion
would lead the students to a point where they can predict the topic of the lesson.
The questions asked by the teacher related to the particular place should be mentioned and how the
teacher is eliciting the responses from the students should be addressed in the answer. The responses
of the students should be shared.
Example of actual content or while speaking : As listening gives way to speaking, at this stage the
students would listen to something related to the topic (YouTube video/Audio recording) and this
would be done in an activity form. Based on that an assessment of the skill would be incorporated in
the form of role plays or extempore or any other activity which would assess the speaking skill. This
would be based on the passage and the names of the places in the passage. If it is a listening skill the
teacher can read the passage and the students will listen and respond. If it is a reading skill the
students can read the passage to complete the task. There can be role play, extempore or make
sentences or any other activity based on the topic. The purpose is to gauge the ability to comprehend
the topic using the skill set.
The content of the conversation/ speaking activity should be related to the information gathered
based on the places of interest, weather of the place, cuisine, information catering to the particular
place only and not information based on generic words related to travelling/ or learning of music.
Example of Post Speaking This stage would consist of an activity related to the topic that would
summarize the lesson. It could be a fun game done in pairs or groups depending upon the task
allocated. This would be based on the same passage and the students can write about the favorite
place, there can be group work or pair work depending upon the nature of the task allocated.
Mention the specific activities in each of the stages from the topic itself as that will reflect the ability to
comprehend the topic. Attach all the relevant support materials for reference purpose appropriate to
each stage.
The content of the speaking task should comprise of the words and the phrases related to the
particular place/ musical instrument only. It should not be generic.
The same concept must also applied for the lesson plan in the term end assignments.
