4. Procedures
4.1 Introductory Activity 1."Self Prayer".
2. "Brain Exercise" Let the students guess the correct word/phrase out from the scrambled
letters.
a. Call a student every after 10 seconds.
b. Ask the student what he/she knows about the word.
c. Ask the students:
"What is the relationship of these words from each other?"
"Which among these words you can most relate of?"
15 minutes 3. Group the class into four.
4. "Film Showing" Let the students watch a short film.
a. "One word is enough!" Each group must come up with 1 word as a reaction or could be a
word which could summarize the whole video. The students is given 15 seconds.
1. "The who" The teacher will show additional words/phrases which are attributes or part of the
idealism of a certain person. Let the students guess. The teacher will give clues.

4.3 Analysis The teacher will ask, "Why do we talk about Karl Marx and his attributed words when this is an
English Class?"

4.4 Abstraction "Revelation"
1. The teacher will explain the significance of the words/phrases used throughout the activity.
2. The Teacher will introduce Marxist Literary Criticism.
3. The teacher will share the expectations.
4. The teacher will explain what is Marxist Literary Approach or Marxist Literary Criticism.
10 minutes 5. The teacher will show an illustrate to summarize all the aspects of the Marxist Literary
Criticism.

"What's on your mind? "


1. With the same grouping, each group will be given picture wherein each group must react to
the picture by composing 3 or more statements and post it in the model social media accounts
with 3 hashtags.
4.5 Application 2. The class will be given 3 minutes to complete the task.
3. After 3 minutes, each group must post their output on the board and choose one
representative to present.

4.1 Introductory Activity 1."Prayer".

3. Show a video of a class demonstration of a PE subject and let the class identify which part is

1. The class will be divided into 2 groups.
4.2 Activity 2. Each group will be given strips of papers containing concepts and sample statements.
3. Each group will have to categorize the content of the strips if it is under numeracy and literacy.

4.3 Analysis "Check in Chorus"


1. After each representative will be done presenting their output, the teacher will let the class
check if their answers differ.
2. The teacher will let each class identify each concept if it is correctly categorized or not. Explain
5 minutes if not.

4.4 Abstraction "Clear the picture"


1. The teacher give a scenario about solving a problem. Which part of solving a problem is numeracy and
which part is literacy?
Understanding the problem is literacy and Solving the problem is numeracy.
5 minutes 2. The teacher will provide how important is integration of numeracy and literacy and how it is unconsciously
being integrated already in the class instruction.
"Ask me how! "
1. Ask 4 students specializing different fields/subjects and share how they integrate numeracy

4.6 Assessment
1. Each group will be given a scenario. They have to design an activity which
will show how they can integrate their picked concept in their class instruction.
A. I am a Mathematics teacher, how can I integrate literacy in my class
instruction?
B. I am an English or Filipino teacher, how can I integrate numeracy in my
class instruction?
Tests 2. The class will be given 3 minutes to complete the task.
