MUST HAVE THE I;ORD'S APPROVAL (v. 21) ... the tnenwas gazing at her in silence, to know whether... successful or not"..

But how can I know God's approval? A. "in silence " ) prayer, conscious thinking, meditative evaluation (Ps. 46:10) Notice what Isaac is doing when Rebekah came to him (v. 63) B. " discernment" > sensitivity to the Lord's moving, sensitivity in analyzing the surrounding situation. The more we are closer to God by reading His Word, praying, we the more we can be sensitive to His leadiny'moving in our life.

CONCLUSION: The six principles that stand out in a Christian's search for God's will in his/her life: 1. Evaluate the prerequisites (w. 14,21) 2. Don't expect lightning bolts. (don't rely on o'dramatic" events)(w. 63-67) 3. Collect and evaluate all available information.(w. 4-9,34-49) 4" See God's control. (vv.12,26,27,48) 5. Be sensitive to God's timing. (vv. 14-15,21) 6. Look for the signposts. (vv. 14-25) Valid Signposts: a. inner urgings b. desire. (Psalm 37:4) c. advice d. common sense e. circumstances f. gloriS,ing God
