CONCERNED ABOUT THE FLU?

We have all been hearing about this year's flu season. I hope no one in your family gets the flu but if your child is sick, please remember our school policy: Students may not return to school until they have been fever free (nausea free, vomiting free, diarrhea free) for 24 hours without administration of medication. This is for your childs protection as well as that of the student body and staff. The school is well stocked with hand-sanitizer and wipes with more on the way. Enclosed is an informative flyer about the flu. T

HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE?

Calling all grocery shoppers! Please support our scholarship fund by purchasing grocery cards from Giant, Shoppers or Shop Rite. Last week we forgot to enclose the order forms and we still had 6 families participate. Grocery card participation rate was 3.2%. I know that we will do better than that this week as the forms are in the folder. Sign up for lunch duty. See link above. Save Box Tops and used ink cartridges. Dont throw those Sunday coupons away. Send them to Kevin Clark or the school office. We are able to get free items for a food bank in West Virginia that our school helps to support each year. A Call For Vitamins! The medical mission to Haiti has a tremendous need for vitamins (adult, non gummy) as well as ibuprofen and Tums. All donations should be made by January 25th. Dr. Jason Hoelfing, dad of Max 16 and Simon18 will be making a return trip with the Haiti medical team and will be carrying the medication with him. Thank you for your participation! 76% of current school families attended Breakfast with Santa. This is a wonderful participation rate. I hope we can get this turnout for Casino Night and other upcoming school events.

OPEN HOUSE FOR PERSPECTIVE FAMILIES

January 25, from 9-12PM, will be our Open House for perspective families. If you know of anyone who is interested in joining our SJB School Community please let them know about our Open House. From surveys we have taken, most of our new families are here because current families recommended our school. So we need your help to spread the word.
