VOLUNTARY MEMBERSHIP WITHIN N.S.S.F.

What Benefits do I get in return? You qualify for the under listed benefits: Withdrawal: On attainment of 50 years of age or above. Invalidity: In case you suffer permanent disability rendering you Incapable of earning a living. Survivors: In case a member passes on, dependants are paid immediately. Emigration Grant: This is paid to a member who is permanently emigrating from Kenya. Funeral Grant: This is a grant paid to assist in meeting burial expenses of a deceased member.

VOLUNTARY Membership is now open for all categories of workers including the self-employed and all workers in the informal sector.

TOP-UP Existing NSSF members who are in formal employment are free to Enhance their level of monthly contributions through their employers To whatever amounts they may wish to save.

REGISTRATION Registration is done free of charge at any NSSF office countrywide. You only require a valid identification document such as your national identity card or passport.

CONTRIBUTIONS Contributions will be received at any of the NSSF offices either in cash or by bankers cheque. One is encouraged to contribute as often as ones ability can allow.

YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY CHECK LIST. 1. Are you a contributor to the National Social Security Fund? 2. Have you been registered? 3. Do you have your NSSF membership card? 4. Does your Statement of Account reflect the correct amount of your contributions? 5. Is your employer remitting all your NSSF deductions on time? 6. Have you obtained your statement within the last six months?
