complete the sentences using a verb from the box in the past simple or present perfect
and `for´, `since´or àgo´. (15 marks)
Dear Margaret,
I first met Chiyo, a Japanese girl, about six months ago. It was at a party
and she game me a lift home in her car. I really liked her, but I was so
nervous that I couldn´t think of anything to say.
The next day, I rang her to ask her out, but when she picked up the
phone, I got scared and said something stupid about leaving my umbrella
in her car instead.
Since that time I`ve met her three or four times, always with a group of
friends, but I`ve always been to shy to say anything. Now I have just
found out that she has gone back to Japan. One of her friends told me
she left on Tuesday. Now that she has gone, I`ve really started missing
her. Every day I sit down and try to write a letter to tell Chiyo how I feel
about her, but every time I start I cannot find the right words. Can you
help me?
Yours,
Vincent
