EJEMPLO:

CAISING: 2500 feet

Mud weight: 10 ppg
Test shoe by applying on additional 455 psi over hidrotatic.
What is Fracture Gradient at shoe ?
Drill to 10000 feet.
What is KT still using 10 ppg Mw?
Hit abnormal pressure at 10000 feet which need an equivalent 13.5 ppg
to hold it.
What is tha equivalent Mw at shoe?
1-

PF = [(2500 x 10 x 0.0519) + 455] / (2500 x 0.0519)

PF = 13.51 lb/gal

2-

KT = 10 + [455 / (0.0519 x 10000)]

KT = 10.87 lb/gal
[1]
10.87 lb/gal equivalent to 456 psi SICPmax
Presion Hidrostatica con 10 ppg
PH = 10000 x 0.0519 x 10
PH = 5200 psi
Presion Hidrostatica con 13.5 ppg
PH = 10000 x 0.0519 x 13.5
PH = 7006 psi
Kick = 7006 - 5200 = 1816.5 psi

2500 f

Densidad de lodo a 1816,5 psi

1816.5 psi KT = [10 + 1816.5 / (2500 x 0.0519)]
KT = 10 + 14
1816.5 psi KT = 24 ppg
Se rompe el zapato
1816.5 psi

7000 f

1816.5 psi de [1]:

[(10.87 - 10) x 0.0519 x 10000] = 456 psi
1816.5 psi
a 7000 feet
1816.5 psi [10 + 1816.5 /( 0.0519 x 7000)]
KT =
15
ppg

10000 f

PF = [(2500 x 13.5 x 0.0519) + 455] / 0.0519 x 2500

PF 17.00674 ppg
