Good morning! I`m grateful for the opportunity to present my topic to you. My name is Abashina Julia.

I`m first year student of finance department of the Academy of Budget and Treasure. The subject of my presentation is German Banking System. My theme is actual in our days because German Banking System is one of the most developed banking system in the world. This system has a number of the qualities necessary for good system, such as stability, reliability, professionalism of high level and many others. It allows to tell about German bank system with a great interest and respect. My presentation will be in two main parts. In the first part I`ll say about German bank as a universal bank and the German Banking Act. And then I`ll say about The Deutsche Bundesbank. My presentation will last 5 minutes. Let`s start with consideration of my first question, where I say about universality of German Banks. The German Banking Act implicitly provides a legal definition of a

universal bank in the wider sense of a bank, which offers the whole range of commercial and investment banking services. The banking act forms the legal basis for supervision of banks in Germany. Any enterprise conducting banking business is required to be licensed and supervised by both Federal Banking Supervisory Office and the Bundesbank. According to

definition used by Deutsche Bundesbank, banks in Germany can be divided into a large group of universal banks and a smaller group of more specialised banks. My next point is about the Deutsche Bundesbank. The Deutsche Bundesbank is the central bank of the Federal Republic of Germany and as such part of the European System of Central Banks. The Bundesbank was established in 1957. Now it is located in Frankfurt am Main. It shall participate in the performance of the ESCB's tasks with the primary objective of maintaining price stability, and shall arrange for the execution of domestic and international payments. In conclusion I would like to say, that the Banking System of Germany continues to develop and rapidly progress. That so I wanted to say in my presentation. If you have any questions, I`d be pleased to answer them. Thanks you for your attention!
