This article describes the movement and importance of the liberation of India. It explains Gandhis goals and ambitions to free India and the impact the movement would have if India was free. This is Gandhis personal account of his journey, experiences, and struggles not only in liberating India, but also before and after. It was written for Gandhis followers and people around the world who were interested in the peaceful movement. It was written to inform people about Gandhis struggles and experiences. The book strongly focuses on the period when Gandhi struggled to free India from British rule with a nonviolent movement. This is the most important topic because Gandhi set forth a turning point in the world. Before Gandhis movement, it was rare to have a nonviolent protest. Because of Gandhi, many successful and great leaders began nonviolent campaigns. The author is Mohandas Gandhi himself. The book was written in weekly installments from 19251929. I used this source to also show some similarities between King and Gandhi. It did not have quotes, but it did give me some background information about how King and Gandhi were similar and different. It had most of the information that all my other sources had. It was a trustworthy source so I cited it instead of sources that had similar information in them. N.p.: Random House Digital, 2008. Print. I used this source to help me with background information, mostly. I cited it once because it made a strong, valid point that none of my other sources had. "King, Martin Luther." Millennium Family Encyclopedia. First American Edition ed. Vol. 3. New York: DK, 1997. 491. Print. Once again, this was a major source for Martin Luther King. This was the main background source that I used for him. It contained many of Kings ideas and philosophies, many of which were similar to Gandhi. "Mandela, Nelson." Millennium Family Encyclopedia. First American Edition ed. Vol. 3. New York: DK, 1997. 530. Print. This source was the most useful in my search with Mandela. It provided the most, clear facts and reinforced all of the other sources about Mandela. Miller, Jake C. Prophets of a Just Society. Huntington, NY: Nova Science, 2002. Print.

This source actually had all three major protest leaders in it. I used it as reinforcement. It was only used when I had exhausted information out of the other sources.
