S-V-O sentences are the most common in the English language. They imply action, results, and a consequence caused by someone or something. An S-V-O contains a subject (noun), an active verb, and an object (noun). S V O Example: Tommy held his toe.
Take a look at this sentence: "I like English a lot." What's the subject, verb and object in the sentence? I is the subject. Like is the verb. English is the object. where the subject comes first, the verb second, and the object third. English generally follows the sentence structure
