Synopsis
Introduction to the structure and functional units of the computer that are responsible for storing and processing information

Objectives
Understand basic functional blocks of a computer Understand number systems Understand and design digital logic circuits Understand the functional components such as CPU, memory and input/output modules Understand memory organization consisting main memory, cache memory and virtual memory

o Examination: 50% o Coursework: 50% o Assessment of Coursework:
