SUBJECT: FUEL SYSTEM - INSTALLATION FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY

OF HIGH PRESSURE

Some time ago, DDA received numerous reports of unexplained flameouts on engines with CECO Fuel Systems, which were believed to have been caused by fuel contamination. To provide a better means of preventing fuel contaminants from entering the Fuel Control System:, DDA has previously issued 250-C20/C20B CEB1092 and-1095, which furnished instructions for installation of 5 Micron Fuel Filters on both the high pressure and low pressure sides of the engine driven fuel pump. These 5 Micron Filters provide a much! finer filtration than was previously provided.. A very significant reduction in the number of unexplained flameouts has been noted since the Filter Kits were released for Service. Field Reports, however, indicate that some operators have not taken advantage of these important modifications which will serve to promote flight safety when accomplished. DDA strongly recommends that 250-C20/C20B operal:ors give the utmost consideration to accomplishment of CEB-1092 and -1095 and should contact their authorized 250 Distributor for Kit availability, and installation assistance if desired. fed @CL&L&q LwuL. 0.
