Dear Napa Friend, I am pleased to let you know that we will be having a kick-off meeting to discuss the re-establishment

of the PFLAG Napa Chapter. The meeting will be held at the following time, date, and location. 7:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, March 18, 2013 VOICES Youth Center 780 Lincoln Avenue Napa, CA 94558 Although it is certainly not necessary, it would be appreciated if you would let me know by answering this email if you plan to attend so that we can get an idea of the number of folks who will be joining us. Many of the recipients of this invitation have already been involved with PFLAG and hopefully you will participate in this kick-off meeting to get the PFLAG Napa Chapter re-established. For those of you who have not been involved, we hope to see you at the meeting. Please also pass this email invitation along to anyone you know who would be interested in attending! Here's some background information about PFLAG and its mission: PFLAG, a national non-profit organization, was founded in 1972 by Jeanne Manford with the simple act of a mother publicly supporting her gay son. PFLAG is made up of parents, families, friends, and straight allies uniting with lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people. PFLAG is committed to advancing equality through its mission of support, education and advocacy. Now in its 40th anniversary year, PFLAG has over 350 chapters and 200,000 supporters crossing multiple generations of American families in major urban centers, small cities and rural areas in all 50 states. Jeanne Manford died in January at the age of 92 and was posthumously awarded the 2012 Presidential Citizens Medal by President Obama on February 15.
