    1. Do the following problems in the textbook: 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.7 2.2

    2. Use the attached freeware txline (from AWR) to synthesize(electrical to physical) the following transmission lines. The center frequency is 5 GHz. The dielectric constant and loss tangent of the substrate (FR-4) are 4.4 and 0.02. The substrate thickness is 1 mm. The transmission line is made by copper with a thickness of 4 m. i. A 50-ohm microstrip line on a 1-mm FR-4 substrate.

    ii. An 80-ohm coplanar waveguide.
