Trees are important to humankind not only economically, environmentally and industrially, but also spiritually, historically and

aesthetically, for they sustain human life through direct and indirect gains by providing a wide range of products for survival and prosperity. They provide oxygen so we can survive on this planet, they prevent soil erosion, clear up pollution, help fight global warming by removing carbon dioxide, help fight flooding, provide shelter for thousands of species, and the list goes on. Trees help cleanse the air by intercepting airborne particles. Trees are as effective as stone walls in stopping sound. Trees break the force of the wind. This protects houses, farmland and vegetation. Trees help in lowering the dust levels and pollution levels in the cities. Many types of trees provide fruits and nuts for us as well as the animals, even some prescription drugs and medicines. Most of our prescription drugs are either directly or indirectly derived from plants. There are tons of uses found especially in rain forest. Trees also provide us with the following: Building materials, Fuel, Sap, Food such as fruit and nuts, Rubber, Alcohol, Coal from decayed remains, Pulp for paper etc.
