In the story Mr Williams and the Postman author humorously presents a Postman character as a funny people, Mr Henry Williams

and his wife as victims prank of a postman. The story take place in the front door of Mr Williamss house. The postman come to Mr Williams house in the morning and knock at the door and ring the bell. Then Mr William open the door and he ask if there is a letter for him. In fact, the postman does not have a letter to give to Mr William. The postman instead give some questions to Mr William and give a reward if Mr William can answer correctly. After he could answer two questions correctly, the postman just give Mr Willian an empty envelope. But postman promise to Mr William that he will give a special reward if Mr William can answer the third question. Because the third question is difficult and Mr William can not answer the question, he call his wife to help him answer the question. And finally, Mr Williams wife can answer the third question correctly. But in the end, the postman just giving envelope again to Mr William. Mr William angry and ask the postman to go away.
