    Company : Dassault Systems Catia is mechanical design software, It is Feature based, Parametric, Bi directional associative solid modeling design tool. You can create fully associative 3d solid models with or without constraints while utilizing automatic or user defined relations. Feature-Based Like a assembly is made up of number of individual parts, a Catia document is made up of individual elements these elements are called features. Some examples of features are Pad, Pocket, chamfer etc. Features can be classified as Sketch based features And Dress up features Sketch based features are based on a 2D sketch. This sketch is transformed into a 3D solid by extruding, Rotating, sweeping, or lofting. Dress up features are created directly on the solid model.
