The candidate and either oI his / her parent`s mother tongue should be Kannada, Tulu or Kodava and either
oI parent`s was domiciled in the state oI Karnataka, such candidate should have passed the qualiIying
examination Irom a University or Board or any other Institution located outside Karnataka and should be
residing outside the State oI Karnataka as on 1st May oI 2013. Provided that the candidate shall undergo a
Kannada Language test conducted by KEA.

SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card
12th standard Marks Card oI the candidate along with
a domicile certifcate issued by the concerned Revenue or Municipal Authorities certiIying that the
candidate and his either oI parent have resided outside the state oI Karnataka as on 01-05-2013.
The place oI the Issuing authority should correspond to the place oI domicile oI the candidate /
Iather / mother.

the previous domicile oI the Iather / mother oI the candidate as a place in the state oI Karnataka.

Father / mother 10th standard marks card / original cumulative record in original in support oI
mother tongue as Kannada / Tulu / Kodava.
A duly sworn declaration regarding mother tongue oI the candidates.
Candidates should produce the photocopies oI all the above documents compulsorily when they
appear Ior Kannada Language Test on 03-05-2013, Iailing which, ranks will not be assigned.
A candidate whose mother tongue is Kannada, Tulu or Kodava should have resided and studied Ior a period
oI SEVEN YEARS between 1st and 12th standards in disputed Kannada speaking area oI South Sholapur
or Akkalkot or Jath or Gadhinglaj Taluks oI Maharashtra State or Kasargod or Hosadurga Taluks oI Kerala
State. Provided that the candidate shall undergo a Kannada Language test conducted by KEA.

with
Residential certifcate Irom the concerned Tahsildar oI the respective disputed Taluk.
Candidate`s study certifcate issued by the head oI institution, which should be countersigned by
Taluk Education OIfcer.
A duly sworn declaration regarding mother tongue oI the candidate.
Candidate should produce the photocopies oI all the above documents compulsorily when they
appear Ior Kannada Language Test on 03-05-2013, Iailing which, ranks will not be assigned.
NOTE: The candidates claiming eligibility under Clauses c` and d` above, should invariably speak, read and write
Kannada and must secure a minimum oI 12 marks in Kannada Language Test to be conducted by KEA on 03-05-2013.
Otherwise, they will not be assigned ranks.
In the case oI a candidate who is son or daughter oI deIence personnel who has worked continuously in
Karnataka Ior a minimum period oI one year in Karnataka during the Two year period oI study oI candidates
in PUC / 11th and 12th Standard course. The candidate should have studied and passed the qualiIying
examination Irom any Government or Government recognised educational institution located in the State
oI Karnataka.

The candidate`s study certifcate Ior having studied 2nd PUC or equivalent examination in
Karnataka issued by the head oI the educational institution.
Employment certifcate oI the parent issued by the Controlling OIfce where the parent is working
indicating the period during which he has worked in the State oI Karnataka i.e., Irom the reporting
date to till date.
